"Great and Comfortable Stay!"
Overall Score5.0/ 5
I reserved a block of rooms at the Home2 suites in Brandon Tampa for a girls soccer tournament. The location, to start, is great. It is set back from major roads so it was pretty quiet. There is a Dave and Busters right next door as well. I downloaded the Hilton Honors app, which allowed me to check in on my phone and even select the room I wanted to be placed in. (pro tip: room 210 right across from the elevator had an additional like 6 feet of width so I'm assuming it is the same on all five floors). I used the digital key on the phone and was given two extra keys at the desk (she asked how many I would need). The front lobby was super nice. Modern decor with tables and chairs and comfy places to sit, lots of outlets to charge your devices and hang out. The breakfast area is also in the lobby. Breakfast (I'm told, as I did not partake) was just okay. There were some breakfast sandwich options, some bread items, hard boiled eggs, fruit. There is also a coffee station that you can use all day long. the pool area is nice, somewhat small. The gym was you basic gym equipment and there were also coin operated washer and dryers. The rooms were extremely stylish and comfortable. We had a double queen room with pull out sofa. Along one wall was many shelves and counters and cabinets for storing all of your necessary items. There are two desk areas and an oblong table on wheels so that you can have a table to eat from. The couch had a full size pull out bed and there was an ottoman as well. One very comfortable office chair. There were MANY outlets and USB ports for all of your electronic needs. The room got ice cold at 60 degrees and the bathroom was a decent size. Walk in shower also. The beds were SUPER COMFORTABLE. The blankets on top were not particularly cushy or warm so if you like thicker comforters you may need to ask for another one. Even the woven blankets for the sofa bed were kind of thin. Excellent pillows as well. Overall, we had no complaints for our stay at the Home2 suites. One member of our group needed early check in and they were very accommodating to this. Additionally, a few of us needed late check out and we were able to check out at 1pm vs the regular time of 11am. Our needs were accommodated and all of the staff was very friendly. Last comment and this might not be super relevant but the second day of our stay, we were leaving to our soccer game and it started to pour. I had just broken my toe and there was NO WAY I would have been able to rush out to my car to pull it around. While, I didn't completely expect the front desk girl to go get my car, I wished there was some kind of assistance in this regard. maybe ask a maintenance guy or someone who might have a change of clothes or have an over-sized umbrella available or something. but thats not a huge deal. a really nice guest who noticed my dilemma offered to help and I was super thankful. as I would have done the same for someone else if the situation were reversed.
