Property Description

The Bundelkhand Riverside Heritage hotel is a premier Heritage hotel in India and is built on 50 Acres of land on the banks of the River Betwa in Orchha. The Old House, which still exists, was used as a Hunting Lodge by the erstwhile royal family of Orchha. The present royal resort which has now become a popular destination in India, is an addition to the old construction that dates back to 1895. The Bundelkhand Riverside luxury resort in Orchha consists of 40 Bedrooms, 10 poolside, 17 riverside facing in the heritage wing of the hotel and 13 riverside cottages all river facing and have verandahs from where the guests can enjoy the view of the flowing waters of the beautiful Betwa. The luxury resort offers the fine blend of luxury and comfort. The Guest Rooms are large (22 Ft by 20 Ft) with attached bathrooms and fireplaces. The furniture style is Indian and British Colonial. It was hand crafted on the site where Indian carpenters and craftsmen to give this premier hotel its traditional Indian look. This hotel's interior design offers a palette of local colours and materials and reflects the heritage of the erstwhile Bundela rulers. This premier resort has four terrace Mughal gardens that can be used for private functions, weddings, conferences and camps. Full Moon nights at such a Riverside hotel are divine. Guests can sit out in the Verandahs and hear and see the River flowing past. This is a facility provided by no other hotel in Orchha.
