The Comfort Inn Philadelphia Airport is a limited service hotel located near PHL right off of I95. The hotel features complimentary Continental breakfast with make your own waffles and one hot item that does vary each day; plus fresh coffee available 24 hours a day. Other complimentary amenities include parking, small fitness center, WIFI and shuttle service to/from the airport. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The guest rooms do feature flat panel TVs and new bedding plus the hotel is in the process of upgrading their guest rooms even further enhance comfort for each guest. The hotel does have 2 smaller event rooms for smaller occasions. With every staff member greeting me at the beginning and throughout my tour; I would recommend this hotel as they are a good fit for sports teams, family reunions and all types of travelers.

I arrived on Thursday night, June 19, in the middle of a blackout caused by the weather front up and down the east coast. The lobby was dark except for one large flashlight. Forty or 50 people were calmly sitting in the dark, waiting for the power to come on so we could check into our rooms. I was there for an hour, when the front desk manager allowed people to get snacks and beverages from the small lobby kiosk, asking only that the guests leave their name and what they were taking. As I watched, guests did just that on the honor system. It was a brilliant move on the part of the staff. If an extra bag of chips or a beer was taken and not accounted for, in my view it simply didn't matter. What the hotel gained in good will by the staff recognizing that people were hungry and thirsty was beyond measure. The staff showed they were empathetic and by their gesture, they communicated that we were all in this together. They have my total admiration. Candice Kimmel itinerary H11697244.
