The Inn is a perfect place to stay if you're scheduled for surgery. I live on a PNW Island, so we checked into the Inn the night before since check in time was set for 5:45 am. We could not have made the trip in the morning as the first ferry isn't until five am. The Inn is an old, but lovely building with everything we wanted or needed. The rooms were large, clean and pleasant. We really enjoyed glasses of wine from the cafe that evening after we got settled. It was a lovely night and we enjoyed the garden terrace. There was no air conditioning, but we opened the windows and turned on the fans, so everything was just right. Thank you.

Room was positioned over noisy generators / motors running all night. Toilet ran all day and night and the coffee maker brewed ice cold coffee. The only reason we continue to stay here is due to the convenient location to Virginia Mason Hospital.

The Inn is exceptionally clean, with quick response to requests. Flexibility in reserving rooms is so important going through testing at Virgina Mason Medical center. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. We appreciate this Inn being so accessible to all the Virgina Mason buildings.

Hotel Features – Understated elegance is what you’ll find at The Inn at Virginia Mason, a hotel located in Seattle’s First Hill neighborhood. The smoke-free guest rooms are tastefully decorated, and suites offer whirlpool baths, views of the city and wood-burning fireplaces. The historic hotel was opened in the 1920s as The Rhododendron Apartments, turned into an apartment hotel in the 1960s and was transformed into a European-style hotel in 1989. The hotel’s original architectural elements have been retained, including arched entries and crown molding.

Guest Rooms – Budget offerings (standard twin, deluxe queen and double queen rooms) as well as luxury offerings (junior and king suites, the king suite library and the penthouse suite) are available at The Inn at Virginia Mason. All guest rooms are spacious and feature a small sitting area and desk or larger sitting area with a sofa or overstuffed chairs. Certain rooms include refrigerators, microwaves and coffeemakers; king suites feature a jetted tub in the bathroom. The penthouse suite boasts a working fireplace, living room, kitchenette with sink and access to the rooftop deck. All guest rooms include cable television and in-room on-demand videos, heating and air conditioning systems and telephones.

Location – The First Hill neighborhood of Seattle is a quiet residential area just east of downtown Seattle, yet within walking distance of the city’s main attractions, shops and convention center. The financial district is also nearby, as are a number of medical facilities, including Virginia Mason Hospital, after which the hotel was named.
