Property Description

The Royal Hotel Ross-on-Wye sits in the heart of the historic Herefordshire town offering delightful views of the Wye valley and east access to the A40. This grade-II listed Georgian country hotel was built in 1833 where the Bishops Palace once stood in the 13th century. It became a popular coaching inn taking in 16 of the 22 coaches that passed through the town. One of its devotees was Charles Dickens who was a frequent visitor to the inn. Today the hotel offers modern facilities and comfortable traditional bedrooms. Each one has a small sitting area a satellite television tea and coffee-making facilities and other modern amenities. Some rooms even boast commanding views of the surrounding countryside. Free Wi-Fi is found throughout the hotel and free parking is available on site. The hotel also offers full English breakfasts classic pub meals and a pleasant terrace on which to dine in summer.
