Property Description

This hotel is situated about 4 minutes from Callender, the self-proclaimed capital of Trossachs, also known around the world as the Gate to the Highlands. The centre with plenty of shops as well as restaurants and bars are within walking distance, only 300 metres away, as is the closest bus stop. The closest train station can be reached in about 20 minutes by car.The hotel also offers the breathtaking backdrop of the Callender Crags. Built in 1874 and renovated in 2005, this charming, 2-storey family-friendly hotel has a total of 9 rooms, including 2 suites. Situated on a main road, guests at this hotel are offered a foyer with a 24-hour reception, a hotels safe and a cloakroom. Further facilities include a cosy bar, a breakfast room, a WLAN access point and an up-market restaurant. It is also possible to take advantage of the room and laundry service. There is a bicycle storage room, and parking spaces are on offer for those arriving by car.The rooms all come with an en suite bathroom with hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. Also to be found within the rooms are a direct dial telephone, a TV, Internet access, ironing facilities, tea/coffee maker, a double or king-size bed as well as central heating and carpeting are also included as standard.The Trossachs is an area of shimmering lakes and rocky mountain summits, where the Highlands meet the Lowlands. This is the hand where birds of prey soar over herds of roaming deer. Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, the only National Park in Scotland, enables visitors to enjoy this fascinating part of the country. Callender is particularly proud of its 18-hole golf course. Fishing permits may be obtained for the Teith and Ley River, and Loch fishing may also be enjoyed. A whole range of activities may be enjoyed in this area. A wide network of cycling paths also exists in the region.
