Property description
We re a small but perfectly formed townhouse hotel with an enviable position right in the heart of the City of York. Our Grade I listed Georgian building has seen many changes through the years and as you will have guessed by the name was the official residence for the Assize Court judges for over 170 years- In fact until 1976 when it evolved into a commercial hotel. Despite our long and esteemed tradition in hospitality you will find we are anything but stuck in the last century. All our stylish guest rooms have been completely refurbished and offer todays traveller all mod cons- Including i-pod docking stations and DVD players. Our location is second to none and a fantastic place to stay in York- Within easy walking distance of all the major attractions and at just 3 minutes walk to The Minster some of our rooms have very special views of this grand old lady.
