Set in a quiet neighborhood close to downtown, The Oregon Convention Center, and multiple wedding venues, this well-equipped 4-bed, 2-bath 1925 Craftsman is the perfect home-away-from-home for family gatherings and large groups looking for an authentic Portland experience.
This restored Arts and Crafts style home is full of character, providing a taste of old Portland. Guests say they love the cove molding, tile, hardwood, arches and layout inside, and outside, the "intoxicating scent of black locust trees in full bloom" and our "historic Piedmont neighborhood—a treat for the eyes for the fan of American architecture" (quotes from real guest reviews!).
Homemade dinners are a must with a grocery store one block away, a formal dining room with seating for ten, and a fully equipped, upgraded kitchen with everything you'll need and more. On warmer days, fire up the gas grill on the patio, turn up the Sonos sound system, and make it a fun family-style BBQ. Hosting a larger group? You'll find place settings for 50+, three folding tables, and 13 additional chairs.
Start your day with coffee on the inviting covered front porch. In the evenings, unwind beside the original wood-burning fireplace, play a board game provided, or have family movie night on the 60-inch Smart HDTV with satellite and a Blu-ray player in the 27 ft.-wide living room.
With two spacious bedrooms upstairs, two bedrooms on the main level and a full bath with a shower/tub combo on each level, this is a great layout for multiple families travelling with kids.
On the main floor you'll find a queen bed in each bedroom. Upstairs, one bedroom has a queen-size bed while the other has two twin-over-queen bunk beds. Six Aerobeds (two queen and four twin) are available to sleep additional guests. Three of the four bedrooms have HDTVs and two have Blu-ray DVD players too, so everyone can watch their favorites. There is an additional charge of $35/guest/night for groups of more then eight guests.
The home offers plenty of parking and is full of convenient extras. You'll have a Pack-N-Play, two high chairs, security gates and toys for the little ones, a washer/dryer to keep packing light, central A/C to keep you comfortable, and high speed WiFi to stay connected. With all your needs met, all you'll have to do is relax!
Owner lives in lower level of home and enters/exits at rear of home.. Guests have an entirely private living space on the main and upper levels of home.
