My 18 year old was staying in Rochester for an RIT event. I called and booked the room since I wanted her to stay in a safe area (which it is). I SPECIFICALLY asked if an 18 year old would be allowed to check in since I was unable to go on this trip. I was told it would be no problem so I booked the room. She arrived for check in at 10:30 at night and was told NO she could NOT check in as an 18 year old. I even spoke with staff again. After an INCREDIBLY stressful hour of waiting in the lobby with me flipping out (out of state), with a local friend woken up and frantically trying to book a different room somewhere she was finally allowed into the room I had already paid for. I will be returning to Rochester regularly and can tell you that I will NEVER become a repeat customer. For what its worth, the room was decent enough for 7 or 8 hours she was actually allowed in.
