"An Italian villa escape right next to Union Square"

This hotel is a lovely, relaxing, European escape from city life. The interiors of the hotel really do remind one of an Italian Villa, with the (very open) main lobby built around the hotel's large restaurant, which is their pride and joy. The homemade bread and pasta that the restaurant serves is amazing, and the scent often fills the whole hotel. The rooms are quite luxurious as well - larger than most, with soothing interiors. This hotel also has a perfect location in the busy district that surrounds Union Square. One downside is that this hotel is not able to host events larger than 40 or so people, but if your group is smaller than that these demur meeting spaces are quite lovely. In general, this is a great hotel for groups that want to relax or feel like they are on vacation, while not having to leave the city. The price isn't exactly a bargain, but it is not unreasonable either - this is definitely not your average 3 star hotel. I would recommend it to any group.
