Verified Reviews of Tremont Plaza Hotel

Below are the verified reviews from guests that we have booked recently:
"The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. I would suggest an upgrade to rooms."
Overall Score3.0/ 5
The rooms need an upgrade. Not one full length mirror. The towel rack fell leaving towels on floor. Took two days for staff to fix. Ben after it was fixed it was loose. Rooms are old. Bed was ok. Issue is the rooms are designed where bed and living room are are in one room. The TV was awkward you had to turn it around depending where you were. Carpet was old as well. Nice proximity to Harbour about a mile walk. Good places to eat a block up. They honestly should upgrade it is a good atmosphere.

"Room for improvement."
Overall Score3.0/ 5
We happened to stay there the same weekend as a big music festival, so the hotel was full of youngsters under the influence. It was noisy and crowded. Getting breakfast took several hours due to the long lines and poor set up. One of the chefs at the omelette station consistently undercooked the omelettes and the buffet side ran out fo food and coffee before the 10:30 am cut off time and did not replenish. The floor was sticky and gross and no one cleaned tables off in a timely fashion so we had to wait to sit down to eat. The room was spacious and reasonably clean but housekeeping did not come at all during my stay. I could tell the manager was trying to get the staff to stay on top of the cleaning, but I guess they were unmotivated? I appreciated that he went out of his way to get nut free pastries for my nephew and asked if we were ok. Check in and checkout was easy and fast, so that was good. I think they need a service elevator because more often than not, we had to share the elevator with housekeeping and their huge carts of laundry or cleaning supplies. Mysterious, since no cleaning was happening.
