"Dripping tub/Screaming Guest Next Door."

I reserved a room for the weekend. We weren't forewarned that our tub spout was exuding a continuous stream of water before we walked in. Operator said they were full and we couldn't change our room. They did offer to upgrade our room the next night, but I declined for health reasons. (We found out later that the desk knew about this and that the drip/running stream was “unfixable”). That night/early morning, next door to us, a girl discovered her boyfriend in bed with another woman and caused a loud scene, complete with screaming and door pounding. The ruckus started outside, with the “other woman” breaking the screen in the window and throwing the woman's belongings out of the window. The night manager hesitated in calling the police and let the situation get out of hand. This went on for one 1/2 hours. Finally, the woman was escorted off property at 3:30 am. We were, of course, awakened and disturbed by this situation. When seeking compensation for the tub and disturbance, all we heard from the staff was, “Well, we cannot control what our guests do.” One staff member was very rude and defended the hotel. It took her five minutes of this behavior to apologize to us. Also, the next morning, the elevator broke down. We were on the second floor. I am disabled and have orthopedic problems and arthritis. I avoid stairs whenever I can. I had to climb down the stairs. This rude staff member told us that all the elevator needs is to be reset, as if we should have known that. Also, we weren't the ones who rented a room to “The Jerry Springer Show” next door to us. Show some responsibility. My husband and I have stayed here several times. Our son recently moved to Gaylord. We intend to visit at least two four times more this year. We are reconsidering staying at this hotel. The hotel terribly needs to be upgraded. I asked for a shower chair and they do not even have one. Like I said, I don't know that I want to stay at this hotel. The manager was nowhere in sight. And didn't show up till 10:00 am on Monday. We had to wait around to talk to her.

The Best Western Gaylord hotel is a beautiful, two story building with an indoor pool and hot tub. Inside remodeling done in 2018. Hot Coffee and tea available 24/7. We are also located close to the downtown businesses, shopping centers, and restaurants. Located close to the freeway, making your travels easy and convent.
