We stayed for one night at the Sophie Hyde Park and wished we could've stayed longer! The team at the reception desk was most friendly and helpful. I thought I had reserved adjoining rooms, but that request didn't come through and intimately wasn't available. The front desk did their best to put us in two rooms as close together as possible. It worked out fine. We were greeted every time we passed through the lobby making us feel most welcome and appreciated. The rooms are incredibly well appointed and much more spacious than many Chicago hotel rooms I've stayed in. We had two queen beds each having its own small nightstand, with a small sofa and cocktail ottoman in between. So much more comfortable for lounging than sitting on a bed or in a swivel desk chair to watch TV. They even supplied wine and rocks glasses (real glasses!) if you happened to bring your own bottle (as we did). Each room also had its own phonograph and a couple of record albums! There really were too many amenities to list, most we didn't stay long enough to use. We were very impressed with everything about this hotel. Highly recommend!
