Grand Hôtel is delighted to present Vinterträdgården (Winter Garden) – a venue of grandiose versatility. This classic event space, dates back to 1909, in the heart of downtown Stockholm, has been updated to create Sweden’s most modern event and conference venue. Now, the Winter Garden offers unique, leading-edge event experiences thanks to a custom-built audio and lighting concept, flexible stage solutions, state-of-the-art stage rigging technology as well as a 1000 m2 projection surface with 360° video mapping. In the early 1900s, at which time the managing director of the hotel Wilhelmina Skogh wished to create an evergreen indoor garden to compensate for the Swedish chill outside the Winter Garden became the place to meet. Ever since celebrities and everyday bon-vivants have met and mingled in this magnificent space at parties, events and conferences.

Like a fairy-tale from Versailles, nothing more, nothing less, was how architects Thure Stenberg and Ludvig Peterson described the Spegelsalen or ‘Hall of Mirrors’ at the inauguration in 1899. Since then countless conferences, events and parties have been enjoyed royally here. That Spegelsalen was inspired by its namesake, the Galerie des Glaces in Versailles, is evident. The room has floor to ceiling mirrors on either side of the room, beautiful ceiling paintings and two enormous chandeliers. The entire room is in white, gilt frames – and mirrors. Hosting an event, conference or award ceremony in the midst of these heritage-rich surroundings is to experience one’s own personal slice of Grand Hôtel history. Adjacent to the Spegelsalen is the Vapensalen, a smaller hall often used as a reception area for the Spegelsalen, and Strömsalongerna, which were built in the 1920s. Here, conference delegates and dinner guests can mingle before entering the magnificent Spegelsalen or enjoy a drink after dinner. Spegelsalen and the adjoining suite of halls are perfect for events that require for something out of the ordinary.

Our Stockholm venue is an auditorium that seats 215, surrounded by a private lounge of 220 sqm, perfect for trade fairs and mingling. This is one of our four specially designed conference rooms, ideal for major presentations. The venue contains all the latest technology: LCD-projector, document camera, sound system with clip-ons or handheld microphones connected to the speaker platform and wifi or broadband internet connections.

Daylight streams down over our New York guests. This is one of our four newest, specially designed conference rooms that also transforms into an exciting party venue. The interior is done in subtle gold and stylized marble. Maximizing the flow of light, the room’s unique glass ceiling can be blacked out when required. The venue contains all the latest technology: LCD-projector, document camera, sound system with clip-ons or handheld microphones connected to the speaker platform and wifi or broadband internet connections.
