"Big Changes for A Hidden Hampton Gem!"

The Hampton Inn Elmwood has already completed the first phase of a multi-million dollar renovation...and travelers should be excited for the finished product. The lobby has come inline with Hampton's new open concept in jeweled tones. Tastefully decorated, with fresh fruit available for snacking, it's the perfect place for a card game, reading a book, or just socializing with family and friends. Flat screen TVs keep you up to date on the happenings elsewhere in the world, and they have somehow managed to put it at a volume that you can hear, without it being a distraction for someone working. An airpass system and 2 computers (with printer) round out the business center. A beverage station has hot tea, cocoa and coffee available 24 hours a day. If you have forgotten any of the toiletries NOT offered complimentary in your room (toothbrush, toothpaste, etc), there is a small shop with snacks, frozen foods and sundries. While the rooms are clean and spacious, after the splendor of the lobby travelers may feel let down. They are showing their age. Not to worry, every room will be completely renovated in 2014. In the meantime, you can still enjoy the bliss of the Cloud 9 bed, and the Neutrogena bath amenities (NEW! for 2014). Extended stay travelers will love to unwind in their suites, and make use of on-site or laundry service. This hotel is an EXCELLENT option for those wanting proximity to New Orleans (15 minute drive) without the price, and to save money on parking. There are several shopping centers within walking distance, with any type of restaurant you could crave. A movie theater and laser tag will keep families entertained. Complimentary gym access with an indoor pool for guests. Don't wait for the renovations to be complete to take advantage of this hidden gem.

All 128 guest rooms are equipped with full cable television and a premium movie channel, microfridge, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, voicemail and data port. Our two room suites are specially designed for extended stay travelers. They include separate living and bedroom areas, as well as a fully equipped kitchen. Services and amenities include our complimentary continental breakfast buffet with hot items, on the go breakfast bags, free on-site parking, complimentary access to adjacent state of the art fitness center and complimentary hi-speed wireless internet. For the business traveler, Hampton Inn & Suites Elmwood offers meeting and banquet space to accomodate up to 100 people and an executive boardroom, with outside catering service. To complete the package, the hotel features an outdoor swimming pool and patio area, a convenience shop and a guest laundry facility.
