West Linn does receive a substantial amount of rain during the winter months, so the best time of year to visit is between July and August. These months are perfect if you are interested in hiking, fishing, jet boat excursions up the Willamette River, or being able to sample farm fresh produce. Summer is a busy season for this area, so hotel rates are higher and room occupancy fills up quickly, so be sure to make your reservations early.
However, if you enjoy wine tasting, September and October are great months to visit. West Linn boasts several award-winning wineries and visiting in the fall you will see the leaves of the wine grapes turning glorious colors.
