Local Attractions
Republic Square: the main and central square of Yerevan. The square was designed by architect Alexander Tamanian in 1924. The oval shaped square has a stone pattern in the center, meant to look like a traditional Armenian rug. The dancing and singing water fountains are located at the northeastern forehead of the square in front of the National Gallery.
