"The room and charges were terrible."

On August 4,w stayed one night at the rate of $116.91. On Aug 11, on our way back home, we were charged $196.74. The next morning, the front desk was supposed to make an adjustment to my bill. In reviewing my bank account for my credit card, the adjustment has still not been made as of August 22. Also, the room on the 11th was a complete 180 from our first stay. The sofa was old and the cushions were stained. There were black human hairs on the wall and soap dish in the shower. The lighting in the sink area was poor so I could not shave properly. The breakfast was poor compared to our first stay. I am still awaiting the adjustment that I was shown on the front desk monitor.

"Disappointing"

Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The first room they tried to put us in smelled like stale cigarette smoke and mildew. They moved us across the hall but the condition of the room was not much better but at least did not smell. The room was extremely worn with the carpet torn in spots. The kitchen floor was so sticky that our shoes made sticking noises when we walked across it. The bathroom was not very clean. We found long black hairs in the sink, vanity drawer and on the floor. We do not have black hair. There was so much build up on the shower head that water sprayed in all directions. The free breakfast in the morning was marginal at best. We were going to have a danish and when we tried to take a bite, it was frozen. Had a bowl of cereal as it looked the only safe thing to eat. Had we not just drove over 11 hours that day and been so wiped out and had carried out suitcases up we would have left and went somewhere else. We would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Disgusting.

Maybe I expect too much for the breakfast, but it was lacking compared to other Residence Inn properties that I've stayed at in the recent past. The eggs were gross and the sausage, well, I can't describe it except I won't be eating sausage for a while, it turned my stomach. The employees were great.

Having never stayed at a Residence Inn, we were surprised at the spacious suite. However we stayed for just one night, checking in between five 6 pm and leaving by 9 am the next day. We were charged $100 extra for our one dog. Thinking that we had made a good decision to stay here on our way home was a mistake. The young employee at check in could not make any adjustments and because we had already paid on line, we were "stuck." We realize that this type of establishment caters to guests staying longer than one night, so the fee makes sense in terms of their targeted clientele. However, it seems like some adjustment needs to be made for guests who are staying a little more than 12 hours in the residence. We will avoid Marriott affiliated establishments in the future at all cost.
