Bristol is a very nice area. It was quiet and clean with very nice hotels and restaurants.
If you are a NASCAR fan you need to come to Bristol! There are many hotels, restaurants, gas stations, to accommodate you. There is a racetrack, and NASCAR museums and the local community is welcoming.

I enjoyed my stay. I liked the fact that things (groceries/discount stores/clothing, etc.) were in close proximity. The people were friendly and kind.
Thought it was nice. I went to the NASCAR race and went to the Cavan Caves then took a ride to Pigeon Forge for a day.
Restaurants weren't busy in March, don't know about other times of year. We visited the Virginia Creeper Trail.

A friend and I fished the South Holston River. The entire river was beautiful, dotted with farms and expensive homes overlooking the valley.

The city is beautiful and well maintaned
Plenty of restaurants, shops, a Sam's Club less than a mile away from the hotel. The Bristol Speedway is close by as well as a NASCAR Museum & Hall of Fame. Very nice small city with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay.
