Sitting in the lobby the best old time New York City feeling! This hotel is old. Older heating and plumbing in rooms but very good service in the case of disrepair, etc! Excellent location, great restaurants all over. Went to mass on 71st St, bookstore nearby, lovely walk to Broadway and museums. Will stay again and again.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the EH. The room was clean and we loved the shower/water pressure! We were disappointed that there wasn't a microwave in the room or even onsite to heat up leftovers and the beds are hard. I appreciated the staff being responsive to bring us ice when requested and the free bottled water (1 pp/pd). The roof top bar was nice and the location is great.

The Empire Hotel has been an historical part of New York City for over 100 years. Completely renovated in 2007 the Hotel provides modern accommodations and state of the art amenities ideal for today's traveler. Many rooms offer amazing city views of Lincoln Center, Broadway and Columbus Avenue. All rooms include 32” flat screen television, iHome MP3 Alarm Clock/Radio, mini bar, in-room safe, luxurious Frette linens, and in-room dining provided by Ed's Chowder House.
