Hotel Phoenix Hjoerring, Sure Hotel Collection by BW is a really good starting point for experiencing the atmosphere and the sights of the Top of Denmark right from the North Sea to Skagen. Moreover, Hjoerring has a lively shopping milieu with among other things the new and large shopping centre Metropol. The hotel is situated right in the centre of Vendsyssels main town Hjoerring, and this has been the case right since the first of May 1887. At that time, it was named W. Kyppers Hotel and with its three stories and fine ornaments of the faade, it was absolutely the most beautiful building of the town. Later on, it was named Hotel Bristol, for a period it was a temperance hotel, and during World War II the Germans occupied the hotel. After the war the hotel got new owners, and they gave the hotel its present name: Hotel Phoenix. According to the mythology the firebird Phoenix lives for many years before it burns up and resurrects. This is precisely what happened to the hotel: at first it was renovated from top to bottom and later it was extended with a new story. The target of the owner and the skilled staff is to combine the proud historical traditions with the demands and wishes of the present time and of the future and to create a hotel, which gives the guests the optimal experience.
