Temperatures start to rise around the end of May and reach average highs of 82 degrees Fahrenheit towards the end of June. If you're in town during the 4th of July, make sure to take in the Balloon Glow Encounter at night. Hot air balloons take to the sky at nightfall to create a visual that is unlike any other. They also launch in the morning in case you prefer to watch fireworks instead.

Always wanted to see a pow-wow but could never make it? If you're in Ashland in the middle of July or September, check out the Great Mohican Pow-Wow. The Mohican tribe puts on this event twice a year and it highlights the pageantry of the local tribes. There's drum circles, dancing, and even costume competitions that are unlike any other.
