Water’s Edge Resort and Spa Commitment to our environment One of the most important “First Order Values” of our Mission Statement is RESPONSIBILITY for our people, our facility, our community and our planet. First order values can't be altered in an economic downturn or used to confront an immediate problem. They exist to see our organization through good and bad times. They are in essence a constitutional framework for our corporate governance and the moral rationale for our existence in society. Our responsibility statement says it all. We think globally, but act locally. We support our current programs and seek out new and different ways to be responsible for our environment. Some of our choices are simple and have little cost, others require substantial capital investments. Here are some of the programs we have in place to protect our environment: Water Treatment – We have installed a state-of-the-art water treatment facility which takes “grey” water and purifies it for use in our sanitary facilities, irrigation systems and laundry. We reuse/recycle over 3M gallons per year. Smart Thermostats – Our guestrooms and function space are controlled by our property management system to insure that we are not heating or cooling vacant rooms. Linen Reuse Program – We invite our guests to re-use linen for multiple night stays. Environmentally Friendly Cleaning Products – We use green products in our laundry, engineering and housekeeping departments. Recycling – We recycle paper, cardboard, metal, glass and plastic products. (4) Electric Charging Stations These are just the big things, we also focus our purchasing as many items as we can locally. We understand that the shorter the distance an item travels to get here, the smaller its carbon footprint. We do this with coffee, bottled water and many, many food and sundry items. Local Shuttle Info: Resort does not have a shuttle. The public transportation for Westbrook is called "9 Transit".

Breakfast is served in either the Seaview Bistro or Dattilo's. Cappuccio is the coffee shop and is open year round.
