Allentown experiences four distinct seasons, and each one has something to offer visitors. If you're looking for the most pleasant weather with minimal precipitation, consider planning your visit during the spring or fall. From April through early June and from late September through late November, you'll experience highs from the mid-50s to low 70s with occasional rainfall. Spring also tends to bring numerous blooms and greenery to the Allentown area, while fall brings a stunning array of autumn colors.
Summer is also a popular time to visit Allentown, thanks to the warm weather and average highs in the low 80s. July tends to be the rainiest month of the year, however, so be sure to pack rain gear if you visit in mid-summer.
Although winter can get cold in Allentown, with average highs in the upper 30s, this is a great time for budget-minded travelers to visit. You're most likely to find the best Allentown hotel deals during the winter season.

Below are reviews of the city of Allentown, PA from an actual visitor's perspective.
If anyone knows the town of Hollandtown in Baltimore, Maryland, Allentown, PA, reminded me just of that neighborhood. A small quaint community, with narrow roads and good people. And with that I say, I'm glad I live in Baltimore, Maryland. Go, Orioles, Ravens, Terps, Capitals, and I wish that we still had the Washington bullets from back in the day.
We have many families in the area and know the area well. Very friendly.
