Decumani Hotel de Charme is the First Cultural Hotel of Naples. It means that our permanent guest is the cultural event.We will be glad to have you as our guest in the hotel placed in the heart of the Decumans -Historic centre of Naples-, just close to the majolica Cloister of Santa Chiara Cloister, San Severo Chapel with its wonderful “Veiled Christ sculpture” and Spaccanapoli street.The building where the hotel is placed is a XVIII century's palace and used to be the residence of Cardinal Sisto Riario Sforza, the last Bishop of the Bourbon Kingdom of Naples who lived in that apartment for more than 30 years, from 1845 to 1877. Since he became Naples bishop, he was the the last bishop of the “Two Sicilies Kingdom” and the first one in Italian Kingdom.Because of its historical relevance, the palace is under Neapolitan cultural assets administration.From its glorious past, today the building still keeps intact some beautiful structural elements, such as the wood gate, large stairs, high ceilings with rafters or groin vaults and big wood windows.In honour of this great personality we restaured his apartment, thinking about all the requirements of a charming and comfortable hotel.In the common areas of the hotel you can find typical Neapolitan tiled floors with ancient pieces of hand-painted “maiolica”.The masterpiece of the structure is the wonderful XVIII century hall in a luxurious baroque-style with ancient mirrors and golden stuccos, the best place to relax listening to classic music, having a tea or reading a book.The hall is suitable even for meetings and national or international cultural events. Breakfast is for free.Breakfast Room: wonderful XVIII century’s hall with mirrors and golden stuccos, with an area of about 120 square meters and 9 mt high hand painted ceiling.Breakfast is served at a buffet with the help of the staff for hot drinks (coffee, tea, cappuccino, etc.) Continental breakfast offers: briosches, cakes, crispy bread, corn flakes, muesli, cereals, butter, jam, hazelnut and chocolate cream, yogurt, bread, cheese, salami, fresh fruit, juices, orange squash, milk, coffee, cappuccino, flavoured tea, sparkling and still water.Breakfast Room is furnished with period pieces, grand piano, sofas.. our saloon is the best place to relax listening some classical music or having a tea, reading a book or using a laptop PC with free Wi Fi internet access. The saloon can be used even for cultural events (concerts, art exhibitions, books presentations..) where our guests will take part for free.
