This historic luxury hotel is breath taking and words cannot describe it. The Broadmoor, 779 guest rooms, suites and cottages, brownstone and ranch accommodations offer the guests very elegant touches and amenities which helped the resort to be a distinctive destination for nearly 100 years. Each guest room features one king or two double beds, European furnishings with many modern amenities. Many of the guest rooms offer stunning views of Cheyenne Mountain as well as the resort's own Cheyenne Lake. The Broadmoor is the longest running consecutive winner of both the AAA Five Diamond and Forbes Travel Guide Five Star awards. The main building, The Broadmoor opened in 1918. The hotel is located on 5,000 acres of land on the southern edge of the Rocky Mountains and offers a lot of outdoor venues from fly fishing and hiking to white water rafting and horseback riding. For Recreation and fitness there is The Spa at the Broadmoor, 54 Holes of Championship Golf, Four cushioned hard Tennis courts and three swimming pools. You can also find 25 Specialty, Boutique and Retail Stores, a Movie Theater and so much more. The hotel has 185,000 square feet of meeting space with the largest meeting of 60,000 square feet, The Broadmoor Hall. 62 meeting venues as well as beautiful outdoor venues. Guest Services include 24 hour room service, daily housekeeping, Concierge, Valet and Self Parking, Nightly Turn Down service, Florist Services, Childcare Services and Airport Transportation. I will not return during a USGA tourney. They were too restrictive to residents. The manager was very nice and moved us to an easier access to our room due to the USGA, but lovely was the view in a better part of the hotel but there was banging from the room above. That room had an issue with stable ac/heating 1/2 worked but the other 1/2 did not.
