This hotel is in a decent location, the room was clean and nicely decorated and there are plenty of amenities including a popular Dim Sum restaurant and liquor store. But maybe the latter is a problem. Everyone I encountered on the third floor was drunk at 5pm, plus the entire floor smelled like weed. It's fine to walk through, but when the smell starts making its way into your room, it's not so fine. After a full on domestic next door, I packed up and left, getting another room on the other side of the hotel (different elevator). Not really the hotel's fault and they quickly moved me. The young girl at the front desk is brave, in my opinion, to be working a night shift with so many questionable tenants and transients. I have a feeling the best thing to do is steer clear of the third floor.

Property Description

The Red Lion is situated approximently 10 minutes driving from DowntownVictoria. We are on Douglas Street, which is the main street of Victoriaand the Hotel rooms face the back. We have Standard rooms which featuretwo Queen size beds or two double beds, Studio Rooms which feature one Queensize bed and a Twin size hideaway sofa bed and One bedroom Suites, which feature a King size bed or two Double size beds with a TV in a separatebedroom and one Queen size leather sofa bed with a plasma TV in the living area. Also included is a dinning table suite, a buffet table and a kitchen.
