Wilkesboro was a quaint town , with several nice restaurants. Hometown of Tom Dooley, last man executed in Wilkes County. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

Plenty nice restaurants and burger places to eat. A lot of places to shop. We were very impressed with the Walker Center. A very nice place to have programs.

Thy have a well known huge antique shop in North Wilkesboro. I visited it while I was there. The surrounding mountains are beautiful. Lovely scenic drives.
