The Hotel Viking was built in 1926 to accommodate the guests of Newport's most elite families and high profile community events. We are the only hotel in Newport holding memberships with both Historic Hotels of America and National Trust for Historic Preservation. Located on fashionable Bellevue Avenue, Hotel Viking is situated on “Historic Hill” in the heart of historic Newport. We are just minutes away from Newport's finest restaurants, antique shops, boutiques, museums, and picturesque Newport Harbor. While in town guests can also enjoy mansion tours, golfing, breathtaking cliff walk…the possibilities are endless! The Hotel Viking is a 30-minute ride from TF Green Airport in Providence, Rhode Island.The Hotel Viking continues to provide impeccable service in a setting that reflects a glorious past with a thoroughly modern approach.
