It was built in the mid 14th century by King Charles IV and has a total of thirty baroque statues dating back to the beginning of the 18th century. NERUDOVA STREET Walk up to the castle along a street full of houses with baroque façades and historic architectural details. The street is named after the Czech writer, Jan Neruda who was born here, and whose works masterfully described life in Prague in the second half of the 19th century.
