Property Description

Our hotel is an oasis in the city centre. We have 9 acres (4 hectares) of land, including 7 buildings, 2 swimming pools, 2 tennis courts, golf practise net, The Librisa Spa, 24 hour gymnasium, Headquarters Hair Salon, 24 hour business centre and a Kids Club. We are surrounded by restaurants, shops and local cafes. We are 10 minutes from the beach, 5 minutes to Table Mountain and 45 minutes from the winelands. We have 2 restaurants, the Lounge for morning and Afternoon Tea and the Planet Champagne and cocktail bar. We have 2 types of rooms, namely Superior and Deluxe and 5 types of suites; Junior, Deluxe Junior, Classic, Superior One Bedroom and Deluxe as well as Garden Cottage Suites. We have 7 function rooms, ranging from the small boardroom to the large banquet rooms. 4 of the rooms can take between 10pax - 30/40pax. Our other 2 can take from 30pax - 90pax. Our largest function room, the Ballroom, can take 240pax for a dinner. Our pink lady is 115 years old this year and is surrounded by history and a feeling of romance.

One of The Mount Nelson Hotel’s most historic venues, this room has hosted memorable occasions since 1899. Originally designed as the hotel’s main dining room, it is a nostalgic reminder of the hotel’s 19th century late-Victorian origin, featuring a sweeping entrance, topped by a unique, recessed minstrel’s gallery with wood-panelled walls offsetting impressively ornate murals and pressed high barrel ceilings.
