Catoosa, Oklahoma is a town of 7,100 people about 14 miles north of Tulsa. Into the 19th century, the area was inhabited by members of the Cherokee tribe, and the name Catoosa is derived from a Cherokee word, possibly meaning "in between two hills." It's the site of the Tulsa Port of Catoosa, one of the largest inland ports in the United States.
