WE were here for our grandson's baseball tourney, a pretty big deal since it was hosted in grand style by the city of Enid. The NJCAA World Series is a high goal for these young men to reach. There is also a good bit of down time while being in town for several days. My wife and I visited the Military Museum and were very impressed with how unique and large the museum was and how we were greeted by some of the most engaging men, volunteers I'm sure, who were a pleasure to talk to. The many restaurants and variety of places to eat was perfect. Our favorite was Braums. The best ice cream and for $8.99 we got the best ever hamburger (seriously!), fries and a "small" shake that wasn't small at all and it was the creamiest tastiest shake I've had in many years. It was also easy to get around town with streets running north south east and west. Coming from a larger city in Ohio myself, I loved the fact that there was very little car traffic. I'm not used to that and it made our stay must less stressful. By the way, the David Allen Memorial Park and the people who hosted the teams we have nothing but high praise for. The park is a jewel in the heart of town. Loved it.
