The St. Regis Grand was originally opened in 1894 by Cesar Ritz and reopened its doors in December 1999 after a more than 35 million USD complete restoration and renovation program.
The renovation goal has been to restore its former glory, sympathetic with the ideals of the original designer, Cesar Ritz, combining Roman Empire and Louis XV styles of furnishings and decoration to create a carefully restored Roman palazzo.
The hotel offers 161 luxurious bedrooms including 23 sumptuous suites and butler-serviced floors. A symphony of exclusive notes, marble baths, precious fabrics, fine furnishings and the latest high tech facilities are carefully hidden to preserve a perfect harmony. Splendid rooms, fabulous suites, including a majestic Royal Suite and a spectacular Designer Suite. Every guestroom has its own unique identity by the hand painted fresco, which depicts a significant ruin, monument or area of Rome creating a hotel, which is not only in Rome, but is of Rome.
