Below are reviews of the city of Montpelier, VT from an actual visitor's perspective.
Across the street is a very fascinating museum. Something for everyone in terms of Vermont history and laid out really nicely. I really got drawn in. Down the street is a very appealing library to spend time in, including the children's section upstairs. I kept visiting the Bohemian bakery which also has nice quiche. It's closed Mon and Tues. My family living in VT likes Penzo Pizza and so did I. The gas station (turn left out the front door of the hotel) has all kinds of tacos--really good to eat there or take out.
Beautiful city, friendly people, Charlie O's, Sarducci
It was a nice place to visit

Montpelier is a unique city with beautiful architecture and charming shops. I loved my experience visiting there. I really enjoyed going to the maple syrup farm right outside town.
