The staff at this property are top notch. Highlights are pool and landscaping of the property. If you are lucky enough to visit when the Jasmine is blooming, it is heavenly. Good, clean accommodations and basic breakfast included.

My stay at the Lamplighter was really nice and enjoyable. The cleaning service is impeccable and the desk reception is fantastic and they helped me solve problems that I had with my trip. The morning breakfast is really good and they have free coffee and tea and cold water dispenser all day long. The pool and the laundry room are indispensable! It was a wonderful weekend and experience!

I have stayed here a number of times. Staff is always friendly and the rooms are clean. I always love free parking and breakfast. We also love Dirty Birds which is a bar and grill right across the street. We will be back soon.

Best Western Lamplighter Inn & Suites at SDSU(a AAA 2-diamond hotel) is conveniently located 1 mile from San Diego State University, and only 15 minutes from Downtown, the San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park. About half of our rooms have two queen beds, and many of the rooms include kitchen facilities, making this the ideal place for an extended stay. Amenities include: complimentary expanded continental breakfast, free Wi-Fi and parking,DVD players in each room, heated outdoor pool, and children 12 and under stay free. Pet friendly.
