I was born in Wilmington so when we visit it's usually for family reasons. It's just much more comfortable for us to stay at a hotel than someone's limited home hospitality. So we don't get much opportunity to do many things, but we do like trying different restaurants.

I was visiting with relatives, so didn't see much of the city. There are a lot of shopping places there and I've toured the Dupont mansions in the past, very interesting. They all have something different to see.

Wilmington is beautiful with it's trees and there were several eating places and a mall near the hotel. Loved the Waterfront area for walking and dining. It's not far from Philadelphia International Airport and not far from downtown Philadelphia to see historical sites.

We liked the close proximity to the Dupont Mansion and gardens. We also visited Longwood (no pets allowed there) and enjoyed the fountain show that was far better than Vegas!
