The Black Bear Inn is a lovely hotel with all the amenities one could ask for. Nice spacious clean room, workout facility and the complementary breakfast was one of the best we've had in the US. Lots of other little perks like free ice cream at night, soup and beverages in the evenings. And the staff was very friendly! Would definitely stay here again.
Great room and services. Every staff member was engaged, professional and friendly. The breakfast provided had a nice variety of good quality food and the offering of something to eat at all times in the lobby is a thoughtful extra perk. The rooms and the whole building and outside area in general were very clean and seemed well maintained. We held a memorial service for my husband in the event space and again the room and the staff assistance were great.
I love staying her. will visit again.
Nice rooms.
We stayed here overnight as my child is a student at U Maine Orano. I wish I did not wait until graduation year to stay here in the past. I have rented Airbnb's, but would highly recommend this hotel. It is right next to campus, very clean service was friendly and they offer breakfast. They also have complementary chowder available and it was actually very delicious.
we had a wonderfull time.

Staff members were very kind, breakfast was great and the soups, coffee and tea all day long was amazing! The rooms were clean, thanks I will definitely stay there again,.
A great alternative to big name chains. Staff were lovely and helpful. The soup on arrival was so wonderful after a long, cold drive. Would return.
Room was clean, comfortable. Continental breakfast better than most hotels.
