When selecting a hotel I look first at price and secondly at whether some kind of breakfast is provided. In the fairly broad geographical area under consideration, Extended Stay America in Carlsbad Village was slightly less expensive than most competitors and it included a "grab and go" breakfast. Therefore, I chose it, which I believe was a good decision. Check in was pleasant and the room was comfortable. The breakfast was minimal and was gone by 7 a.m., but on the other hand the room did come with a little kitchen, so we certainly did not suffer. Carlsbad Village is a very nice area for strolling and sightseeing. I would stay there again.
