It’s right by the beach and within a 10-minute walk of Stranraer Museum, and offers lots of on-site facilities including two restaurants and bars, an indoor pool, sauna and hot tub, an arcade/game room, ballroom/meeting spaces, free WiFi and broad wheelchair accessibility; pets (dogs) are allowed with a GBP 10 per pet per night fee (service animals exempt).
Stayed overnight at North West Castle hotel for the first time and came away thinking what a great spot. Comfortable clean large room in keeping with the atmosphere of the building. Impressive bar/lounge area but the large bright dining room was not spoilt by the quality of the food! We had a delicious meal that was beautifully cooked and presented! Breakfast was also good the buffet had variety although the listed plain yoghurt was not to be seen. The cooked to order breakfast was a little limited ( all or part of a full Scottish with eggs fried,boiled of scrambled) and could have been extended perhaps. The staff were friendly and efficient. Great parking! Would I stay again ? Most definitely
