A medical emergency meant that I was looking for a room at 01.00 on Thursday morning. Checking in was no problem. As I was unsure of how long I would need the room they agreed to leave my departure date open and twice, I added more days to my booking. Receptions staff were friendly and helpfull. In all I stayed in the hotel for two weeks while my husband was receiving treatment in hospital. My room was comfortable and perfectly adequate for my needs. On the last night,my husband was with me and we were given an upgrade. I can say nothing wrong about me experience of staying at The Douglas and I hope to go back again. The bistro serves tasty food at reasonable prices.
