With a warm sub-tropical climate, over 70kms. of unspoiled coastline and an abundance of safe beaches, Doubtless Bay on the Pacific Ocean is a holiday paradise and an ideal base for a holiday in the Northland of New Zealand. Doubtless Bay is one of the oldest parts in New Zealand, dating from the early 1800s when it was a whaling base. The Doubtless Bay area extends from Taupo Bay in the east to the Karikari Peninsula in the west. It includes the settlements of Hihi, Coopers Beach, Cable Bay, Taipa and Whatuwhiwhi, with its centre in busy Mangonui.
