The folks I interacted with for check in and assistance were friendly and knew their jobs well. The staff at the restaurant off the lobby were excellent, the food was good but the service team made the experience. The gentleman from Florida that help with my bags each trip is lovely.

This is a wonderful place to stay in the heart of Portland.
Overall an enjoyable stay. Particularly enjoyed John and Bobby in the Palm Court. They went out of our way to make us welcome. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
All gentleman working valet were excellent also the two older gentleman that work in the lounge area were above all my expectations. I forgot their names but they worked Friday Feb 6th evening till closing. Both of them should be recognized for being wonderful employees.

Lovely Hotel. I was in Portland for a wedding and we chose the Bensen based on the pictures of their lobby and rooms and it did not disappoint. It's a beautiful cozy lobby with a fireplace burning plenty of chairs to sit in and very nice service. The cocktails and wine are a little expensive but it's worth it to be able to enjoy the atmosphere. Our room was very comfortable and spacious and had lots of shelves, closet space, a desk and windows that actually opened. I highly recommend The Bensen to anyone who wants to stay in downtown Portland.
