So much to experience and so easy to get around. The JR ticket agents were immensely helpful and the food was superb. In addition to restaurants with delicious food,we were delighted to find bento in Tokyo Station created by a Michelin star chef. It was fabulous!
I liked how clean and organized everything is. I like how people are generally more quiet in public. Even though I am not fluent in Japanese, there was enough English signs and friendly residents and workers to help if needed. Whether it was at a restaurant or a convenience store, my husband and I enjoyed every bite of food we tried.
I loved the unique blend of traditional and modern culture in Tokyo. Visiting places like Asakusa with the historic Senso-ji Temple gave me a glimpse into Japan's rich history, while areas like Shibuya and Shinjuku were full of energy, neon lights, and cutting-edge technology. The food scene was another highlight—whether it was sushi at Tsukiji Market, ramen in a tiny local shop or street snacks in Harajuku, every meal was delicious. I also appreciated how clean and safe the city felt, even late at night. Getting around was easy thanks to the incredibly efficient and punctual train system and I was amazed by how polite and respectful everyone was. Tokyo really is a city that has something for everyone.
