Though snow is likely in the winter, rain is more prevalent throughout the rest of the year. If you choose your travel dates based on weather, be advised that the air is very humid. Levels peak towards the end of September when they climb above 94% on three out of four days. There are two periods when the weather is best for traveling to Kingston. May 18 to July 17 is a great time because you can check out Artfest Kingston. We enjoy being able to walk to shops, restaurants, tourist attractions, etc. Kingston has a great deal of historical and tourist interest, from Old Fort Henry to the former Kingston Penitentiary to lots of history of the Great Lakes and more. It's very walkable along the waterfront as well.
