I was there for Ohsan softball tournament which was very nice.
Great places to eat,lots of shopping
What brought us to Akron was a show at the Goodyear Theater, which was a fun experience. We also ate at Marques, which is nearby and serves amazing southern cuisine. We visited several Alcoholics Anonymous sites throughout Akron, including Dr. Bob's house, which were all easy to find. The free tour at Dr. Bob's house was great, too. We will definitely return to Akron to see more.
Well we attended a game Monday Cleveland Guardians, also many resturants Coopers Hawk, and a couple more bru houses in the area. We were very busy for a short visit...

Hartville kitchen was lovely and had amazing food, the local portage lakes ice cream stands were fun with delicious treats.

Café Arnone was fabulous, except you really couldn't taste the eggnog in the Eggnog Latté. The Peppermint Cappuccino, yogurt parfait, cranberry orange muffin loaf, and oatmeal were all delicious! Summit Mall was wonderful, with a wide variety of stores and dining, including Arhaus, Sephora, Altar'd State, and First Watch. Sephora didn't have what we went for, but I suppose that's to be expected the week before Christmas. Stores in Montrose, including Ulta Beauty and Hallmark, had just what we needed, accompanied by friendly and helpful service and kind and pleasant shoppers. D'Agnese's Italian restaurant was terrific, accommodating us sitting and catching up with friends for three hours. The crème brûlée was one of the best I've had, with just a hint of lemon. The Akron Zoo Wild Nights Christmas lights were enjoyable. There were limited animals, and yet on a cold evening it's understandable. It's undergone a lot of improvements since we were last there. The view overlooking downtown were beautiful. The hot cocoa mixed with Bailey's Irish Cream was surprisingly marvelous! Will duplicate this at home this winter!

Our son and daughter-in-law live in Akron so that is the primary reason were visited. There are nice restaurants in Akron and offbeat shops. It's close to Cuyahoga Falls and Cleveland.

We were in Akron for a wedding so we didn't get to see much but the next time in town, it would be great to visit the zoo and the Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens, a historic Akron site.
