The O.A.E. Blyberg House is a fascinating location full of history and charm. The house is a step back in time, from its beautiful woodwork to the vintage furnishings. Visitors can explore the house, learn about its history, and view its many artifacts. It was built by a very successful merchant by the name of Blyberg in 1884 in the style of a French chateau, with a large lot and many trees. Below are reviews of the city of Pelican Rapids, MN from an actual visitor's perspective.
Pelican Rapids has a large Mexican population and so their Mexican restaurants, the Mexican store, and the Mexican isle in the grocery store are all awesome and hidden finds. The park with the large pelican is great. Maplewood Park is always fun and the zoo is one of the better ones that we have gone to. There are many lakes to choose from for any lake activities as well. We haven't ridden horses in Pelican Rapids but we have heard that is fun too. They have unique events like wiener dog races, minnow races, a turkey BBQ in the park, car shows and a street festival. They also have a parade after Thanksgiving with lit up horse drawn floats to get into the Christmas spirt.
The area is a great place to work and relax!
