The Olentangy Indian Caverns is an opportunity to explore the natural beauty of underground caverns formed millions of years ago out of limestone. The caverns form a winding network of rooms that were used by the Wyandotte Indians for many purposes. The cavern rooms were used as a safe haven from the unfriendly tribes, served as a place to stay during inclement weather, and as a place for sacred ceremonies. The Wyandotte tribesmen also used the caverns as a workshop for making arrows.
Many of the artifacts found in the caverns are on display at the museum. The caverns and museum close for part of the season and reopen on April 1. Enjoy a guided tour of the caverns or take your time and go it alone with a self-guided tour. If you're feeling brave, there's also a flashlight tour that only allows the light from a flashlight to guide you through the dark passages of the caverns. For the kids, there are additional activities that include gem mining, playing a round of miniature golf, and visiting the petting zoo. There's also a gift shop, playground, and nature trails.
Delaware is one of those cities that has a little something for everyone. The city is home to Ohio Wesleyan University, has numerous restaurants and shopping boutiques, and a vibrant nightlife scene that all blend with its rich history of the past.

The recommendation to the Hamburger Inn Diner was much appreciated. An old school diner from the depression era. Probably a different cook but had good food with a nostalgic flare!
The room, lobby, bar and breakfast room were clean and comfortable. Clean, neat and well managed
