I visit Mount Dora every 12-18 months to visit my sister. Really like the city; nice restaurants.
The tour we took was wonderful. We met a little trolley with a tour guide named Rooster. It was only supposed to be a half hour but he kept us entertained for an hour and then dropped us off at the hotel where we were going for lunch. The shopping was wonderful in town, also. A great place to spend a few days.
My. Dora is very quaint, clean, great shops (with different specialty items not found anywhere else), lovely, kind, courteous people. Only turn off was that many restaurants were closed on Monday. However, dining at "Pisces Rising" & "Tony's Clam Chowder" was truly memorable! The food was delicious! If the lighthouse park is open to the public - a decent or clean, overall 3 days' great experience.

The small, quaint town has great shopping, yummy restaurants, nice residents, dog friendly, and lots of charm.
Downtown historical district was very pleasant. The Christmas lights are lovely, all the shops amazingly beautiful.

Mount Dora is a lovely old town that had made the most of its resources. I always enjoy going there.
The city was so awesome, the shops were great. Live music every night, someone was able to make an outstanding cappuccino at an odd time of day, the shops were open and it was clean and just a delight. A place was open late to get souvenirs and the movie theater Epic 12 had all the great films ready at all hours. Just spectacular, boat tours were great. I was really impressed. I had a blast.
