The Wilmington center point is about the area of Grand Opera House and the area of Old Swedes Church.
Below are reviews of the city of Wilmington, NJ from an actual visitor's perspective.
Great restaurants!
My first visit. It was a pleasant experience.
The area where I stayed was ok, beautiful scenery, streets clean and they've come along way.
Riverwalk and restaurants!
I was born in Wilmington so when we visit it's usually for family reasons. It's just much more comfortable for us to stay at a hotel than someone's limited home hospitality. So we don't get much opportunity to do many things, but we do like trying different restaurants.
Came specifically for a concert. Did not see much of the city.
I was visiting with relatives, so didn't see much of the city. There are a lot of shopping places there and I've toured the Dupont mansions in the past, very interesting. They all have something different to see.
The vibe & the people
The Riverwalk was fantastic. I had no idea it was here. And ate at a wonderful restaurant.
Beautiful. Reminds me of Evanston and Highland Park!
Shopping and restaurants is in close proximity for walking and driving.
The riverwalk was great!
The staff and guests were all so friendly and the Big Fish restaurant was GREAT! I plan to visit just to enjoy Wilmington even more next time.
Market Street is decorated with lights that truly add pleasant, vibrant and elegant scene at night.
It felt as though I was in NYC. Everyone was so kind and accommodating.
Felt safe in that area.
Here for a family event, but this part of Wilmington is always enjoyable.

The proximity to the riverwalk and the activities in the area.
The riverwalk, the train station and the Italian Festival!
The Queen was an amazing venue for a show!
Mrs. Robino's Italian Restaurant ….delicious!
Mrs. Robino's Italian Restaurant was delicious!
Wilmington is beautiful with it's trees and there were several eating places and a mall near the hotel. Loved the Waterfront area for walking and dining. It's not far from Philadelphia International Airport and not far from downtown Philadelphia to see historical sites.
Close to soccer tournament.
I love the clean environment, there is so much space here and it not congested like Bklyn, I call this place country and I loved it.
Good entertainment, good people and good restaurants.
Hotel is located in close in proximity to everything.
Room was spacious and comfortable! Staff was super friendly and helpful!
The restaurants were located near the hotel.
The room and bathroom were clean. There was a great breakfast restaurant within walking distance of hotel as well as other very good restaurants.
Tonic Steak and Seafood Restaurant
We liked the close proximity to the Dupont Mansion and gardens. We also visited Longwood (no pets allowed there) and enjoyed the fountain show that was far better than Vegas!
Downtown was very clean and easy to navigate. People were friendly and courteous.
